SPRING RESIDENCY

Claire Moeder is an author. She weaves texts and photographs, making the territory a central character. A native of France, Claire has lived in the Gaspésie since 2017 where she has initiated many literary projects such as readings, experimental walks, writing workshops and micro-publishing. She has also participated in several creative residencies with links to writing and visual arts across Quebec. With close ties to many artists as an art critic and curator, Claire has been published in many journals. She also recently developed an interest in poetry; her first collection of poems is set to be released in 2024 with Éditions du Noroît.

A dynamic creator, she collects human and non-human stories from singular landscapes—coastlines, primitive forests and islands—where the threat of disappearance is omnipresent. Claire is also working on feminist writing with ties to equality, maternity and body sovereignty.
